SUPPORT
1) The program is designed to run automatically when the CD-ROM is inserted into the drive. If it doesn't, the AutoRun feature of your computer is probably disabled. To start the program manually, double-click the CD's icon in your "My Computer" window, and then double-click "Setup.exe". Alternatively, go to the Start menu, choose Run, enter "d:\setup.exe" (where "d" is the letter of your CD drive) and click "Okay".
2) For best results, disable screensavers and close other programs before running the CD-ROM.
3) Be sure your computer has a sound card and that it is set up properly (refer to your computer's instructions or consult with your computer support department). If you use headphones, be sure to plug them into the sound card headphone jack (often at the rear of the computer). Do not use the jack on the front of the CD drive itself (unless you are instructed otherwise), since that generally works only for audio CDs, not for interactive CD-ROM programs.
4) This program requires QuickTime 3.02 or higher to be installed on your computer. The program will automatically detect if installation is needed. If QuickTime does need to be installed:
a) During QuickTime setup, simply click "Next" or "Agree" on each screen.
b) When QuickTime installation is complete, close any extra windows the installer may have opened, and then click the "Continue" button, which will appear on your screen. Additional instructions will then appear so that you can begin training.
5) If you are running an early version of Windows 95 and the program fails to run, you may be missing some support files. If so, open the folder called "Windows 95 Support" and run the installer inside it called "D7 projector dlls installer.exe". Then try again.
6) INTERNET CONNECTION: The program uses the Internet to record registration and completion data. Any kind of Internet connection will do, whether you use a dialup modem at home, a high-speed network at work, or any other kind of connection.
You can take the training even on a computer without an active Internet connection. In that case, the program will supply you with a 16-digit "completion code" when you are done. In order for that information to be recorded and supplied to your employer, you will then need to access the Internet from any connected computer and go to the completion code page at this site to enter your data.
7) TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (Minimum):
a) Windows: Pentium 120MHz or faster processor; 32MB RAM; 2x speed CD-ROM; 16-bit sound card with speakers or headphones; color monitor with 640x480 resolution supporting 16-bit color ( "high color'). 8-bit color (256 colors) supported, but with degraded image quality; Windows 95 or NT4 and higher; QuickTime 3.02 or higher (installers for QuickTime 5 included on the CD).
b) Macintosh: Requirements same as Windows except 120MHz PPC processor, Mac OS 7.6 or higher.
